School Visits and Tours

As part of the national curriculum's requirements, Singers Hill Synagogue is providing a revamped interactive educational tour, conducted by Tally Rosenfeld.

The tour (suitable for groups of all ages) lasts approx. 1½ hours and provides the schools with an insight into Jewish history, tradition, symbols and customs in the beautiful 150 year old synagogue.

Since Tally Rosenfeld, Professional Presenter and Trainer, has been responsible for all aspects of the tours: Planning, coordinating and delivering, the number of schools’ visits have increased by 300%.

During the last 6 months Singers Hill have hosted 2,000 visitors- pupils as well as teachers from the Greater Birmingham area.

For many children as well as adults this will be their only opportunity to meet Jewish people and to have an insight into Judaism.

“I see these tours as a very important mission to influence opinions and prejudice and build bridges between religions especially as many Muslim pupils are involved. By providing professional tours and creating a positive life experience, we are helping to raise tolerance and understanding towards the Jewish People and the Jewish Faith…and this is priceless!...” says Tally Rosenfeld.

The letters of appreciation that keep flowing speak for themselves …Singers Hill Synagogue can be proud of taking part in this important mission.
